Term 2 Week 4 (Week 24)
The universal plea for lesser pollution was made absurd by China's rising economy. With more factories being built, as stocks are snapped up quickly, the problem of pollution simply never ceases. The vulnerable ozone lazyer is disappearing quickly and mass burning of plastic bags is seen as a taboo to environmentalists. However, their refusal to force China to sign the Kyoto treaty seems bizarre considering that China is one of the main polluters.
