The accomplice stood guard at the door while John went inside the house, ransacking for any valuables. He gain access into the house by picking the useless door lock, and furtively crept inside. A neigbour, hearing noises from the outside, was suspicious of the actions of the two robbers and decided to give a ring to the police.
Before long, the police arrived and the accomplice made a desperate attemp to flee but to no avail. John was caught red-handed just when he was about to leave the house. The alleged criminals were brought back to the police station and they controversially decided to cover up for each other and deny about the trespassing and stealing of things. Even after hours of interrogation, they still perservered with their speech and denied all charges.
